2023 Undergraduate Student Research Week

All members of the Cal Poly community are invited to participate in the 2023 Cal Poly Undergraduate Research Week (M 4/17 to F 4/21/23). These events are part of a national celebration of undergraduate research organized each year by the Council on Undergraduate Research.

Cal Poly Undergraduate Research Week events are open to all members of the Cal Poly community and all disciplines. They are sponsored by the Office of Student Research in coordination with the BEACoN Research Mentoring Program, the College of Engineering, the College of Liberal Arts, the CSU-LSAMP Program, the Multicultural Engineering Program, the Orfalea College of Business, and the UndocuAlly Working Group.

  1. M 4/17 National Undergraduate Research Week Kick-Off – Meet & Greet

  2. M 4/17 Info Session: CLA Summer Undergraduate Research/Creative Activity Program (SURP) and Access, Community and Equity (ACE) Program

    • Description: For faculty and staff seeking to support undocumented students by creating inclusive, undocufriendly research fellowships. Learn about when fellowships with financial awards can be utilized and how to create awards-based fellowship programs.   8. Th 4/20 Empowering Communities through Humanitarian Engineering and Science Research (with Pizza!)

    • Description: Join to learn how you can promote sustainable community development and social justice through Humanitarian Engineering and Science (HES) research! A current HES graduate student from the Colorado School of Mines will discuss the approach he took for his thesis research in Colombia and how other students may adopt this approach.
